nansen the cat
So...to catch you up....Back in October, I got a cat.

The cat's name was nansen. you can assume that
since i used the past tense there, he passed away. i got him from the newberry
animal shelter (they are really great, by the way). It turns out he had a
terrible strange and relatively rare blood parasite. unfortunately, my vet
wasn't able to save him. He was a great cat. It's amazing how quickly you can
get attached and love a little creature like
that.
He was quite a talker. in fact, he almost never shut up! i really didn't mind, though. I thought it was nice. Living alone, it's pretty cool to have someone talk to you. of course, i never really understood what he was saying...even when i fed him - he'd finish and keep on talking. Honestly, about the only time he shut up was when he was actually eating (with food in his mouth) or when he was sleeping.
i loved him a lot. he died just a few days before christmas this year. merry fucking christmas, right?
