joshu's "issues"

I love my cat.  I do.  I must keep reminding myself of this.  He's got some issues now, though.  Basically, unless we are going to bed or if I am just getting home from work or for lunch, he bites and chews on me.

Of course, I am trying to break him of this habit.  It just doesn't seem to work very well.  MY problem is that I want him to become more of a "lap cat".  I am not sure if it's just not in his nature to be a lap cat or not.  It might be because he's still a kitten.

When he bites, I put him down and tell him no.  Every once in a while, I will give him a gently tap/smack on his nose.  But I hate to have to put him down like that, because I worry that he'll feel like I don't want him to sit in my lap.  But I do!

So Joshu has issues to go along with mine.
