Mock-yeah ing-yeah bird-yeah
Here's a picture of the guitar I ordered. It's
a BCRich
Mockingbird . When I was a kid, I was in a music store in Anderson,
SC (I got a wah pedal that I SORELY wish I still had!) & the guy there had a
Mockingbird. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen....Well, since
then, I have had it in the back of my mind that I wanted one. At this point, I
have a VERY nice Paul Reed Smith CE3 bolt-on that is just fantastic. The
problem is, I can't bring myself to attach a G2-K synth pickup to it. It is
such a nice guitar, but I never play it! Well, I decided to sell that to fund
this BCRich purchase. This Mocking bird is a slime-green see-through acrylic
(weird, eh?), but it has fantastic sustain and a "dull" personality....which is
precisely what I want in a guitar these days. Since I don't really consider
myself a "guitar player" so much anymore, I think a dull personality in a guitar
is a GOOD thing...I run the signal through so many effects to massage the sound
anyhow that the personality of the guitar's SOUND is very much
lost....
Well, enough of my yakkin', let's boogie!
