home internet connection speed

Starting this past weekend, my network connection
speed at home has started to
crawl!
I'm paying for a 1.5 MBps DSL line from Earthlink. I've had little or no
problems with them until now. I know it's nit-picking,
but I'm not paying an insignificant amount of money. I haven't heard back from
the phone company (it's their problem according to Earthlink). Honestly, I'm
starting to get pissed.
I started a download of My Super Ex-Girlfriend (I know...I just have a thing for Uma Thurman! Besides, Rainn Wilson is in it....so that's worth the price of admission right there.... ) from Amazon to my TiVo. This Unbox thing seems like a cool service....but it's just not going to work if I am only getting 185 kbps download speeds from my ISP.
Sheesh....I think Earthlink may have shruted this one....
