Aesthesiogenics
This was one of those pieces that just sort of came to me all at once back in 1999 or so. There's really not that much to it. I basically just loaded up samples from the Distorted Reality sample CD from Spectrasonics & went to town, so to speak. It isn't one of my favorite pieces, but I figured I'd put it up on the site nonetheless.

I think I came up with the title as an afterthought. That tends to be
the way I typically do things. The word is an odd one which is why it stood
out to me, I guess. Aesthesiogenic basically
means to produce a sensation. To be honest, I don't really know what sensation
I was hoping to produce with this!
...
Sometimes I fart around in the studio and record what I'm doing. That's what happened with this one.

I did find this very cool article, though, that has the word in it. It has almost nothing (okay, it has absolutely nothing) to do with this piece of music, but it's cool. And, by the way, the picture of the K2500 above here is not the version of the K2500 I used for this. Mine is the rackmounted version.
